A roadhog is a driver who monopolizes the road—hogging more than their share of space, driving too slowly in the passing lane, or refusing to let others merge.
The term captures the piggish selfishness of someone who treats public roads as their personal territory: Some roadhog in an SUV blocked traffic for miles.
