risk taker

One who ventures

A risk taker is someone who willingly accepts uncertainty or danger in pursuit of a goal.

The term can be admiring—entrepreneurs and innovators are often celebrated as risk takers—or cautionary, depending on whether the risks seem calculated or reckless: She's a natural risk taker who started three companies before thirty.

Also spelled risk-taker.
