Thrown flotation device
A ring buoy is a circular flotation device thrown to someone in the water, typically bright orange or red with a rope attached.
Standard equipment on boats and near pools, it allows a struggling swimmer to grab hold and be pulled to safety.
Also called a life ring or life buoy.
