right-to-lifers
Fetal personhood supporters
Right-to-lifers are activists who oppose abortion, believing that life begins at conception and that abortion is therefore morally equivalent to killing a person.
The term comes from the anti-abortion movement's self-description as "pro-life" or defending the "right to life." Right-to-lifers gathered outside the clinic.
The label is neutral but often appears in news coverage rather than in the movement's own rhetoric, where "pro-life" is preferred.
