revery
Lost in thought
Revery is a variant spelling of reverie—a state of dreamy meditation or fanciful musing.
Someone lost in revery is absorbed in pleasant, wandering thoughts, detached from immediate surroundings: She sat by the window, lost in revery.
The spelling with -y is less common but appears in older literary texts.
