Switchable traffic path
A reversible lane is a traffic lane whose direction of flow changes according to time of day or traffic conditions.
During morning rush hour, the lane might carry traffic into the city; during evening rush, it reverses to carry traffic outward.
Signs, signals, or movable barriers indicate which direction is active: The reversible lane on the bridge switches at 3 PM.
