outdoor air
Air beyond walls
Air that exists outside of buildings and enclosed spaces, as opposed to indoor air that may be recirculated or conditioned.
The term appears most often in discussions of ventilation, air quality, and environmental health: The building's HVAC system brings in outdoor air to dilute indoor pollutants.
Fresh air and outside air mean the same thing.
