retape

Wrap the ankle

To retape is to tape again—applying fresh tape to something that was previously taped, or recording over existing tape.

A nurse might retape a bandage that's come loose: The gauze kept slipping, so I had to retape it.

In older media contexts, retaping meant recording a new take: We'll retape that segment tomorrow.
