religious artifact
Holy venerated item
A religious artifact is an object of spiritual significance within a faith tradition—a crucifix, a Torah scroll, a prayer rug, relics of saints.
Such items may be considered sacred, used in worship, or believed to possess special power.
The term also applies neutrally in museums and archaeology to objects from any religion, past or present: The exhibit displayed religious artifacts from ancient Mesopotamia.
