regional park
Multi-city recreation area
A regional park is a public park serving a metropolitan area or region, larger than a neighborhood park but typically smaller than a national or state park.
Regional parks often preserve natural landscapes while providing recreational facilities: The regional park has hiking trails, picnic areas, and a lake for fishing.
They're usually managed by county or regional authorities.
