regional exclusives
Area-limited products only
Regional exclusives are products, menu items, or content available only in specific geographic areas.
Fast food chains often test items as regional exclusives before wider release: The McRib is a regional exclusive that appears unpredictably across the country.
In gaming and retail, regional exclusives drive collector interest and sometimes resentment from fans elsewhere.
