reanimated corpse
Undead risen body
A reanimated corpse is a dead body that has been brought back to some form of motion or life.
The term appears in horror fiction and folklore to describe zombies, the undead, and similar creatures: The necromancer's spell raised a reanimated corpse from the grave.
Unlike resurrection, reanimation typically implies something incomplete or unnatural—the body moves but lacks its former soul or consciousness.
