rays of sunshine
Bright morning beams
Rays of sunshine are beams of sunlight, especially when visible as distinct lines through clouds or windows: Rays of sunshine streamed through the curtains.
Figuratively, a ray of sunshine is something or someone that brings happiness or hope to a situation: Her visit was a ray of sunshine during a difficult week.
The phrase often appears sarcastically to describe someone conspicuously cheerful or, ironically, someone gloomy: Well, aren't you a ray of sunshine this morning.
