quickdraws

Rope-clipping gear pairs

Quickdraws are climbing gear consisting of two carabiners connected by a short, sewn loop of webbing.

Climbers clip one carabiner to a bolt or anchor point and pass the rope through the other, creating protection points as they ascend: She racked a dozen quickdraws on her harness before starting the route.
