prop comics
Gag-wielding stand-ups
Prop comics are comedians who incorporate physical objects into their performances—rubber chickens, oversized props, musical instruments, visual gags.
The style prioritizes sight gags and absurdist humor over observational or verbal wit: Carrot Top is the most famous prop comic.
The term sometimes carries a dismissive connotation, as if prop comedy requires less skill than "pure" standup.
