hilarity
Uproarious collective joy
Hilarity is exuberant amusement—laughter that's loud, uncontrolled, or shared among a group.
The word often describes the atmosphere when something strikes people as genuinely funny: The comedian's set brought the room to hilarity.
It can be used ironically when something isn't actually funny: Much hilarity ensued when the server crashed.
