Detained for beliefs
A prisoner of conscience is someone imprisoned for their beliefs, identity, or nonviolent expression rather than for any crime.
The term originated with Amnesty International to describe people jailed for political or religious views, ethnic origin, sexual orientation, or peaceful advocacy.
