preshrinks
Shrinks before selling
Preshrinks is the third-person singular of preshrink, meaning to shrink fabric before it's made into a garment so that the finished product won't shrink further when washed: The manufacturer preshrinks all denim before cutting.
Most commercial clothing is now preshrunk, making the term more common on labels than in conversation.
