prayer warrior
Devoted spiritual advocate
A prayer warrior is someone who prays frequently, fervently, and strategically on behalf of others or causes.
The term is used almost exclusively in evangelical Christian circles, where prayer is viewed as spiritual combat against evil forces: She's a true prayer warrior—up at 5 AM interceding for the church.
The martial language reflects the belief that prayer is active work, not passive hope.
