practice room
Where musicians prepare
A practice room is a small, usually soundproofed space where musicians rehearse.
Music schools and conservatories have banks of them, each equipped with a piano or music stand.
Students reserve practice rooms by the hour: I'll be in the practice room until six.
The term occasionally extends to any dedicated space for repetitive skill-building.
