powder skis
Wide snow boards
Powder skis are wide skis designed for skiing in deep, soft snow.
Their extra width—typically 100mm or more underfoot—helps the skier float on top of loose powder rather than sinking through it.
They often feature rocker profiles that curve upward at the tip and tail: I only bring out my powder skis after a big dump.
Distinct from narrower all-mountain or groomer skis.
