pork tapeworm
Pig-borne cestode
A pork tapeworm is a parasitic flatworm (*Taenia solium*) that infects humans who consume undercooked pork containing larvae.
The adult worm lives in the intestines and can grow several meters long.
More dangerously, larvae can migrate to the brain, causing cysticercosis—a leading cause of epilepsy in developing countries.
