One-sided metal joiners
Pop rivets are fasteners designed for joining materials when only one side is accessible.
A hollow rivet is inserted through aligned holes, then a special tool pulls a mandrel through it, causing the blind end to expand and clamp the materials together.
The mandrel snaps off, leaving a permanent joint.
Pop rivet is a genericized trademark: He pop-riveted the sheet metal panels together.
