Pommel horses are gymnastic apparatus—padded horizontal beams with two curved handles (pommels) mounted on top, supported by legs at adjustable height.
Gymnasts perform routines of continuous circular swinging movements, scissors, and handstands while supporting themselves on the pommels and body of the horse.
The event is among the most technically demanding in men's artistic gymnastics.
