polemicists
Writers provoking debate
Polemicists are people who engage in polemics—aggressive arguments attacking or defending controversial positions.
The term usually describes writers or speakers known for forceful, combative rhetoric rather than measured debate: The polemicists of talk radio thrive on outrage.
A polemicist may be admired for passion or criticized for one-sidedness.
