Armpit sweat marks
Pit stains are the yellowish discolorations that form on clothing in the underarm area, caused by sweat mixing with antiperspirant chemicals.
The marks are notoriously difficult to remove and can ruin otherwise good shirts: I had to throw out my favorite white tee because of the pit stains.
The term also describes visible sweat marks during wear: He kept his arms down to hide his pit stains.
