pistol squat
Single-leg deep bend
A pistol squat is a single-leg squat performed with the non-working leg extended straight out in front of the body, parallel to the ground.
The movement requires significant strength, balance, and flexibility—the lifter descends on one leg while keeping the other elevated, then stands back up without assistance.
I've been working toward my first pistol squat for months.
