perditions
States of damnation
Perdition is an old-fashioned word for hell.
It occurs in the Bible and is used in somewhat archaic translations to convey the idea of suffering and damnation.
It is only used in modern language for literary effect, often humorously, when people want to suggest that someone is doomed.
