peer teaching
Classmates teaching classmates
Peer teaching is instruction delivered by someone at roughly the same level as the learner—a student teaching another student, rather than a teacher instructing from above.
The approach assumes that peers can sometimes explain concepts more accessibly than experts, and that teaching reinforces the instructor's own understanding: The program pairs upperclassmen with freshmen for peer teaching in calculus.
