party wipe

Everyone dies simultaneously

A party wipe is the death of an entire group in a video game, typically in multiplayer games like MMORPGs or cooperative shooters.

The party—a group of players working together—gets wiped out, usually by a boss or overwhelming enemies: We had a party wipe on the final boss and had to start over.

Sometimes shortened to just wipe.
