party chat

Multiplayer voice channel

Party chat is voice or text communication within a private group on gaming platforms, separate from the game's own chat system.

Players in a party chat can talk across different games or while idle: Join the party chat so we can coordinate.

The feature lets friends converse without hearing random players in public lobbies.
