partisan news
One-sided media coverage
Partisan news is journalism that openly favors a political party or ideology rather than striving for neutrality.
Unlike traditional reporting that aims to present multiple perspectives, partisan news frames stories to support particular viewpoints and mobilize like-minded audiences: Fox News and MSNBC offer partisan news from opposite ends of the spectrum.
The term is often used critically to suggest bias masquerading as objective reporting.
