paper screen
Translucent folding partition
A paper screen is a lightweight room divider or decorative panel made with paper stretched over a frame, common in East Asian interior design: The shoji paper screen filtered soft light into the room.
Paper screens can also refer to projection surfaces or, figuratively, to flimsy barriers that offer only the appearance of separation or privacy.
