packhouse
Agricultural processing building
A packhouse is a building where agricultural products—especially fruits and vegetables—are sorted, graded, and packed for distribution.
Common in farming regions, packhouses serve as the intermediate step between harvest and market: The apples go straight from the orchard to the packhouse.
Also called a packing house or packing shed.
