overladen
Carrying too much
Overladen means carrying too heavy or too large a load—beyond safe or practical capacity.
A ship may be overladen with cargo, risking capsizing.
The word applies literally to vehicles and vessels, and figuratively to people burdened with responsibilities or schedules: an overladen curriculum, overladen with grief.
The more common form is overloaded.
