outgunning

Having superior weapons

Outgunning is having superior firepower or resources in a conflict or competition.

The term comes from literal military contexts—one force outguns another when it has more or better weapons—but extends to any situation where one side overwhelms another through sheer advantage: We were outgunned in the negotiations, The startup was outgunned by competitors with deeper pockets.
