order confirmation
Proof of transaction
An order confirmation is a message—usually an email—that a seller sends to acknowledge receipt of a purchase.
It typically includes details like items ordered, quantities, prices, and expected delivery: I got the order confirmation, so we're all set.
The term applies to both the document and the act of receiving it.
