online newspapers
Web-based news publications
Online newspapers are news publications distributed via the internet rather than print.
They range from digital versions of traditional papers to web-native outlets with no print counterpart.
Online newspapers typically update continuously rather than on a fixed daily schedule: I cancelled my print subscription and now read the online newspaper.
The format has largely displaced print for breaking news.
