non-identical
Distinct from each other
Non-identical describes things that are not exactly the same, differing in one or more respects.
The term appears most often in discussions of twins: non-identical twins, also called fraternal twins, develop from separate fertilized eggs and share only about half their DNA, unlike identical twins who share virtually all of it.
More broadly, non-identical applies to any items, concepts, or entities that resemble each other but aren't perfect matches: The two signatures were similar but non-identical.
