mud bogs
Wet dirt traps
Mud bogs are off-road motorsport events where vehicles—typically trucks or ATVs—compete to drive through pits of thick mud.
The challenge lies in maintaining momentum through the muck without getting stuck.
As a compound noun, mud bog also refers to the pit itself: We watched trucks tear through the mud bog all afternoon.
The activity is popular at county fairs and in rural communities where four-wheeling culture thrives.
