move-out cleaning

Move-out cleaning is a thorough cleaning of a rental property when a tenant leaves, typically to satisfy lease requirements or recover a security deposit.

It goes beyond regular cleaning to address accumulated grime, appliance interiors, and areas often neglected during occupancy: The landlord required professional move-out cleaning before returning the deposit.

Also called end-of-tenancy cleaning.
