misinferred
Incorrectly reasoned out
Misinferred means wrongly concluded from evidence or reasoning.
Where *infer* is to draw a conclusion from available information, to misinfer is to draw the wrong one: She misinferred from his silence that he was angry, when really he was just tired.
The word is rare but transparent in meaning.
