Mint sets are official collections of uncirculated coins issued by a government mint, typically containing one of each denomination produced in a given year.
Collectors value them for their pristine condition and original packaging: I buy the mint set every year for my collection.
The term also applies to complete sets of coins from any particular mint or series.
