mindful walking
Conscious ambulatory practice
Mindful walking is the practice of walking with deliberate attention to physical sensations and surroundings—the feel of feet meeting ground, the rhythm of breath, the movement of limbs.
Unlike walking to get somewhere, the destination is awareness itself: She practiced mindful walking in the garden each morning.
The technique derives from Buddhist meditation traditions.
