menials
Household staff members
Menials are servants or workers who perform lowly, unskilled tasks—the people who scrub floors, carry loads, and do the drudge work.
The term carries condescension, treating such workers as beneath notice: He dismissed the hotel staff as menials.
The singular menial usually appears as an adjective: menial labor, menial jobs.
