Spellcasting energy source
A mana pool is the reservoir of magical energy a character has available to cast spells, common in video games and tabletop RPGs.
Spells cost mana to cast, depleting the pool until it regenerates or is restored: I'm out of mana—I can't heal you.
The size of one's mana pool typically grows as a character levels up.
