Magic bars are a layered dessert bar made by pressing ingredients into a pan—typically a graham cracker crust topped with chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, shredded coconut, and chopped nuts, all bound together with sweetened condensed milk.
The name comes from how the condensed milk magically holds everything together as it bakes.
