macrame hanger

Woven pot cradle

A macrame hanger is a plant holder made from knotted cord or rope, typically suspended from a ceiling or hook.

The decorative knotwork creates a cradle that holds a pot while the plant's foliage spills over the edges.

Macrame hangers were popular in 1970s home décor and have seen periodic revivals: She made a macrame hanger for her fern.
