luvvie
Theatrical actor, affectionate
Luvvie is British slang for an actor, especially one perceived as theatrical, self-important, or given to dramatic affectation offstage.
The term gently mocks the stereotype of theatrical types calling everyone "love" or "darling": The luvvies were out in force at the awards ceremony.
Sometimes spelled lovey or luvvy.
