A lube job is routine vehicle maintenance involving the lubrication of moving parts—chassis fittings, joints, and bearings—typically performed alongside an oil change: I'm taking the car in for a lube job.
The term dates from when cars required frequent greasing at service stations.
It also appears as slang for sexual lubrication or, more crudely, a handjob with lubricant.
